What's up Leafers? Welcome to the latest edition of On the Rise where we interview upcoming hip hop talent. Today's guest is rapper, SpacityTrawww. SPACE'S melodic trap bars relay a stunning visual of his rap lifestyle. We can definitely see him performing on major stages such as Coachella or Rolling Loud. The rising MC is making a buzz in his city so we had to tap in with him. Check out the interview below. Westleaf Staff: What's up, Raw? Your sound is dope! When did you start making music? SpacityTrawww: I started out just freestyling and posting back in 2020 , until one day the Head Coach of The University Of Arkansas Basketball Team Eric Musselman Retweeted a Video that went a little viral and gave me the confidence. Once that happened it shot my confidence through the roof and I haven't looked back! So realistically, I started taking it seriously in 2021. That's when my first single ever came out July 4th 2021.

Westleaf Staff: That's dope! What city do you represent? SpacityTrawww: Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Westleaf Staff: Shout out to Arkansas! So how did you create your stage name? SpacityTrawww: SpacityTrawww, well Spacity is the Nickname for my town of Hot Springs and I put it at the front of my stage name because I take my city very seriously, I wanna be someone in my city that brings positivity, energy, and resources. I want to help change the outlook on my city such as bringing studios, music centers, extra curricular things like that to keep the kids safe and give them an opportunity. I'm only 4 years out of high school and I can count in the twenty's how many classmates I've lost, its a dangerous city if you don't have Purpose. As for the Trawww part (SpacityTrawww) I'm a huge Fetty Wap fan and I've Always said his sound is so Raw as in just god given talent. Also Justin Bieber, when he first started his YouTube name was KidRaul. So just a little homage to the people i feel helped me get through some rough times!

Westleaf Staff: That's a dope name. It's super creative. So how did your early life shape your interest in music? SpacityTrawww: Coming up was hard, just like everyone else. From economic struggles, family problems, in and out of trouble, you name it. From the time I was 10 until now I always knew music was my calling but I always dealt with anxiety. In the past I weighed over 400 lbs and in 2020 I lost 180 lbs. I believe that's what finally set me free to go after my dreams!

Westleaf Staff: Dope! Congrats on the weight loss!! So who is your biggest Musical influence?

SpacityTrawww: It wouldn't be right to just name one, but if i had to name one Fetty Wap. I think I know his songs better than he does lol. I love his creativity, he created a whole new sound that you can instantly tell when its his songs, and that's what makes a superstar!!! He's Just So talented and raw and real.. Part of where "Trawww" comes from. FREE FETTY WAP.

Westleaf Staff: Dope! I feel that. Fetty is a legend. What's been the defining moment in your music career thus far? SpacityTrawww: Honestly just all the support I've received at such an early stage in my career from fans, signed artist, and big time producers. Also when I joined well renowned artist 4NRhythm at 4N Entertainment. I owe a ton of credit to 4NRhythm, he helped progress me and put me in positions so early in my career. I'm blessed!

Westleaf Staff: That's dope! Congrats on the success. So what makes you a unique artist? SpacityTrawww: I feel in music nowadays the listener is more tuned into the beat or melody, not only do I deliver when it comes to melodies but in my songs there will always be a reasoning or story behind it and people can tell by my lyrics. When i make a song I try to make it where not only I love it or relate to it but so will the listener!

Westleaf Staff: Dope! You're super unique. So what does art mean to you? SpacityTrawww: Art is a form of expression to me. rather you're talking about music, painting, sculpting whatever. I know when I make a song I treat them like my children. Of course I'm human and make mistakes but I try my best to never judge anyone's art or circumstance because I believe that True "Artist" are emotional and passionate, That's something I can always respect.

Westleaf Staff: That's deep! Where do you see your music career going over the next few years? SpacityTrawww: I see my sound continuing to evolve and grow. Continue to not only create great music but make connections and grow my fanbase as well. I see me just growing and growing the potential is endless! Looking to sign to a label or a team that can really help me branch out expeditiously.

Westleaf Staff: I wish you much success! Before we go, describe music in three words. SpacityTrawww Soul, Therapy, Healing.
