Boldy James Announces Hommage, a Collab Album with Detroit Producer Antt Beatz, Continuing His Run of Quality 2025 Projects

Boldy James creates rap music like he breathes air, turning out projects with an astonishing frequency without ever sacrificing the refined quality his fans have come to expect. Keeping his incredible run going, the insanely prolific veteran announces Hommage, his next album, created in collaboration with Antt Beatz. The upcoming album is steeped in the styles of his hometown of Detroit, with production from sound architect Antt Beatz, a veteran in Detroit's scene who has defined the city's sound since his work with Team Eastside, and has more recently produced hits for Lil Baby, 42 Dugg, Tee Grizzley, and Icewear Vezzo. The album sticks close to home with its guest appearances as well, welcoming Detroit lyricists Baby Money and Bandgang Lonnie Bands.

Along with the announcement of Hommage, Boldy shares "Street Cred," one of its highlight tracks. Blessed with a glistening Antt Beatz instrumental that would sound right at home in a Michael Mann heist film, "Street Cred" inspires Boldy to get into his filmmaking bag, as he tries to separate the real soldiers from the pretenders: "All these ogres and these extras/Ghetto Steven Spielberg cut another edit/Stunt double comin' up on the exit/Behind the scenes on this movie clip, don't make me roll the credit," he spits. Ideal for night driving and effortlessly inspiring rap hands, Boldy's latest is a testament to his unshakeable work ethic and bottomless bars. In the video, Boldy and Antt spend a neon-lit night in the D, pushing their foreign whips and laying down tracks in the studio.

Home to 2024 singles "Super Mario" and "Dead Flowers," plus nine more new tracks, Hommage arrives on March 28th via EMPIRE.
