Westleaf Staff: That's dope! What city do you represent?

Carry Em Chris: Leesburg, VA.

Westleaf Staff: Shout out to VA! There's hella talent out there. So how did you create your stage name?

Carry Em Chris: I honestly thought to see what sounded good with my middle name.

"Carry Em Chris"

Westleaf Staff: That's a dope name. So how did your early life shape your interest in music?

Carry em Chris: When I was young, I was in the choir at church. I was influenced listening to people like Drake, J Cole, and Kendrick Lamar. Listening to how different their styles were but also how they pieced together a picture in my head of the stories they would tell and how their emotions came through the music.

Westleaf Staff: Dope! Shoutout to you for expressing yourself! So who is your biggest Musical influence?

Carry Em Chris: Biggest influence has to be Drake. His words and style invoked a feeling that I haven't felt until this day. The song that really changed my outlook was "Over My Dead Body" as I never felt a connection with a song like that.

Westleaf Staff: Dope! I feel that. Drake is a legend! What's been the defining moment in your music career thus far?

Carry em Chris: So far my defining moment I played my music for Dennis Graham (Drake's Dad).

Carry Em Chris: The ability to rap and sing and fit into most genres of music. My versatility is a weapon I challenge anyone to match.

Westleaf Staff: Dope! So what does art mean to you?

Carry Em Chris: Art is something that stimulates an individual's thoughts, emotions, beliefs, or ideas through the senses.

Westleaf Staff: That's deep! Where do you see your music career going over the next few years?

Carry Em Chris: I see a definite rise to popularity. I like to make a variety of different hip hop subgenres which could range from trap to old school rap so anyone that enjoys hip hop can enjoy my music.
