Qelz: I started making music 2018.

Westleaf Staff: That's dope! So how did your early life shape your interest in music?

Qelz: I listened to a lot of R&B and music that made you feel good and overtime I wanted to do the same.

Westleaf Staff: That's dope! Love music is key. What city do you represent?

Qelz: New Brunswick New Jersey.

Westleaf Staff: Shout out to Jersey. Y'all have a lot of talent. So how did you create your stage name?

Qelz: My stage name is a mesh between my first and last name.

Westleaf Staff: I love that. I think it's dope that your name comes from your one experience. So who is your biggest Musical influence?

Qelz: Don't have one in particular but mostly artists who have gotten out of there sound and comfort zone to try something new and different.

Westleaf Staff: Dope! I respect that. Different is good. What's been the defining moment in your music career thus far?

Qelz: When I would stay up all day and night creating and defining new sounds for myself. I realized this is what I want to do for the rest of my life because I genuinely enjoy it.

Westleaf Staff: Dope! Much respect. So what does art mean to you?

Qelz: Art means putting up a blank canvas and throwing ideals on it that make you happy. Art is about defining who you are as a person inside and out with the blessing of being able to connect to other around you. Getting out of your comfort zone and being able to express yourself either verbally or non verbally is one of the most rewarding feelings in this world.

Westleaf Staff: That's deep! Where do you see your music career going over the next few years?

Qelz: I see myself being really high in the industry and looked up as an influential artist for years to come.

Qelz: I wish you much success this year! Before we go, describe music in three words.

Qelz: Vibe, Expressive, Beautiful
