What's up Leafers? Welcome to the latest edition of On the Rise where we interview upcoming hip hop talent. Today's guest is Twin.Glocks straight outta New Orleans, Louisiana. Twin's sound is innovative yet contemporary. The music, similar to Uzi or Carti's, provides a melodic and soothing sound for his fans. Westleaf Staff: What's up Twin? Thanks for pulling up on us. When did you start making music?


Twin.Glocks: 2020.


Westleaf Staff: Real! You're three years in the game now. So how did your early life shape your interest in music?


Twin.Glocks: I always had an interest in music but when I was introduced to sound cloud in the 6th grade i fell in love with it.


Westleaf Staff: That's dope. The Soundcloud era was golden. What city do you represent?


Twin.Glocks: New Orleans , Louisiana


Westleaf Staff: Shoutout Nola! That's what's up. So how did you create your stage name?


Twin.Glocks: The name Twin.Glocks came from a diss track someone made about me when i first started rapping and it stuck. The file is forever lost though.


Westleaf Staff: Ha! That's dope. You made lemonade out of lemons. Blessings bro. So who is your biggest Musical influence?


Twin.Glocks: My biggest influence was Lil Uzi Vert. The first song i heard on sound cloud was money longer.


Westleaf Staff: That's dope! Uzi is a legend! What's been the defining moment in your music career thus far?


Twin.Glocks: Shooting my music video and seeing my ideas and the things I want in life starting to manifest.


Westleaf Staff: That's real bro! You going up! So what does art mean to you?


Twin.Glocks: Art is a release valve to our emotions. Our art is where we can dump it and express how we feel.


Westleaf Staff: Dope! Where do you see your music career going over the next few years?


Twin.Glocks: In the next few years I see myself performing headliners and going on tours sharing my music with the world.


Westleaf Staff: You can do it bro. Just stay focused! So what makes you a unique artist?


Twin.Glocks: I have the ability to be versatile with my flow, beat choice, or tone in my music.
