Westleaf Staff: What's up, y'all? Your style is dope. When did you start making music?
Lil Scorpio King: I started making music first in my middle school bathroom on my cellphone back in 2012 after finding out I could rap by writing raps in my classrooms and rapping for fun at lunch and in classrooms.
CBABYDBEATS - I STARTED MAKING BEATS 2 YEARS AGO BACK IN 2020 DURING THE PANDEMIC TIME I HAD CHOOSE TO PICK UP A SKILL IN PRODUCING BEATS SINCE MY BROTHER LIL SCORPIO KING A MUSIC ARTIST I CAN HELP HIM WITH HIS BEATS.
Westleaf Staff: That's dope! So how did your early life shape your interest in music?
Lil Scorpio King: My Early Life shaped my interest in music by my family members always playing music videos from and by a selective group of artists like Michale Jackson , Prince , Jay Z , Beyonce , Tupac , Biggie ect , Also Having one of my grandad's playing trumpet for James Brown hearing about that boosts my confidence in knowing music is already in my blood . As a kid I would go to alot of family functions and get togethers which I would dance to music and beats hardly anyone knows about that early part of my young life so feel special lol.
Westleaf Staff: That's dope! Love the history. What city do you represent?
Lil Scorpio King: Augusta, Georgia.
CBabyDBeats: Little Rock where I was raised & Atlanta where I was born.
Westleaf Staff: Shout out to Jersey. Y'all have a lot of talent. So how did you create your stage name?
Lil Scorpio King: from my late grandmother being into zodiac signs & her being a Cancer which is one of Scorpio's match ups in the astrology world so I took influence on that and made zodiac signs itself my brand along with buying and representing everything that deals with scorpio I just was like one day I might as well call myself lil because Lil Wayne was one of my favorite music artists until drake came out lol and I'm a scorpio while being a King since there was alot of kings in the world I might as well call myself Lil Scorpio king back in 2017.
CBABYDBEATS: My 7th grade mentality.
Westleaf Staff: I love that. Y'alls names are super unique. I think it's dope that your names comes from your actual life experience. So who is your biggest Musical influence?
Lil Scorpio King: My biggest musical influence would be Drake & Michael Jackson overall.
CBabyDBeats: My brother Lil Scorpio King is my musical influence with him working hard And guiding me through the music game while Im still in High school focusing mainly on Basketball. Soon as he found out I can make beats He signed me immediately and helped me have an extra stream of income.
Westleaf Staff: Dope! I respect that. Family is key. What's been the defining moment in your music career thus far?
Lil Scorpio King: The most defining moment of my music career is my brother and I coming together to collaborate on music. Something I been wanting since the very beginning of my career is to come up with a producer to shape my sound . And with that being said having my brother is even better.
CBABYDBEATS: THE MOST DEFINING MOMENT IN MY PRODUCING CAREER WOULD BE MY BROTHER LIL SCORPIO KING ACTUALLY RECORDING AND DROPPING 3 SONGS PRODUCED BY ME CBABYDBEATS ON HIS LATEST MIXTAPE SCORPIO PLAYBOY SEASON AND NOW WE WORKING ON A FULL MIXTAPE PRODUCED BY MYSELF CBABYDBEATS SO THAT MOTIVATES ME TO KEEP WORKING HARD.
