Westleaf Staff: When did you start making music?

Antoine The Icon: My oldest brother heard me rapping lil zane's "money stretch" record & said you think you a rapper and he took me to the studio, and that was the start of my career.

Westleaf Staff: Dope. How did your early life shape your interest in music?

Antoine The Icon: My early life was hard, with a lot of mental health issues and one-on-one therapy sessions. These experiences helped me get my music in order, not only to produce and rap but also to learn how to write songs that people can relate to.

Westleaf Staff: What has been the defining moment in your music career?

Antoine The Icon: My most defining moment is being able to learn the business and understand how to register music, as well as help those who might not understand what's missing. Some might mention my billboards or radio appearances, or producing "2humpy" for "2rare" as defining moments, but I don't see it.

Westleaf Staff: What makes you a unique artist?

Antoine The Icon: I am a unique artist because I call my music "relation music," meaning you can relate to what I'm speaking about. If you can't, somebody close to you will be able to relate to it.

Westleaf Staff: Who is your biggest musical influence?

Antoine The Icon: Drawing inspiration from musical icons like Tupac, MJ, J. Cole, and Toni Braxton, Antoine The Icon has honed his craft to create a distinctive sound that seamlessly blends elements of hip-hop, R&B, and soul.

Westleaf Staff: What does art mean to you?

Antoine The Icon: Art is expression, a way to make people feel. Sad, happy, mad, just the feeling of expressions.

Westleaf Staff: Describe music in three words.

Antoine The Icon: Past, Present & Future. I say that because the past is what people learn, the present is what people understand, and the future is the unknown.

Westleaf Staff: How did you create your stage name?

Antoine The Icon: Antoine The Icon came from liking my first name, which is Antoine, due to the fact it's not spelled with a W. The Icon came from how most rappers and artists talk about being a legend or the goat, but none of them talk about being The Icon. My motto is "Antoine The Icon, I'm not The Goat, I'm not A Legend, I'm Just The Icon."

Westleaf Staff: What city do you represent?

Antoine The Icon: Philadelphia, PA.

Westleaf Staff: Where do you see your music career going over the next few years?

Antoine The Icon: In the next few years, I see myself continuing to grow and learn the business as much as I can. I know for a fact that I will continue making music until it's my last day on earth.
