7. Divine Gate
Divine Gate is an anime based on a game of the same name. The anime was produced by Studio Pierrot. The whole anime revolves around the teenagers gifted with unique elemental abilities called adapters and their quest to overcome various trials and despairs to reach the divine gate which can grant any wish of a person.
Aoto is one of the main protagonists of the series. He has water abilities but he refuses to join the world council (an organization maintaining peace on earth) because of his past tragedies. Aoto and his brother Ariton were treated harshly by their parents because they both refused to join the world council.
After a horrible tragedy, his brother goes missing and one day he meets Arthur (Leader of the Higher Council) who encourages him to join his journey of finding the Divine Gate.
They explore to find the Gate with the help of the World Council and its mysterious leader Arthur in the hopes of discovering the truth. However, in order to achieve their objectives, they must work together and overcome their inner pessimism while dealing with behind the scene disruption.
6. Phantasy Star Online 2 The Animation
Phantasy Star Online 2 The Animation is an anime based on a game of the same name also known as PSO2. The anime was produced by Studio Telecom Animation Film. The whole anime revolves around an ordinary student who is not much interested in games while the whole academy is crazy about an online game so much that the student council is forced to check whether the game is safe or if it is affecting the health of students.
Itsuki Tachibana is the main protagonist of the anime who is an average student with good grades and he is not much interested in video games. An online game called PSO2 is extremely popular in his academy. The student council president Rina Izumi, who is a top student, decides to prove that PSO2 is not affecting student’s studies and health. For this purpose, Itsuki was forced to join the student council as vice president and is tasked to play PSO2 while maintaining good grades to prove PSO2 is safe for students.

Princess Lover! is an anime that was first released in 2009. The anime revolves around the new luxurious life of a young man after the tragic death of his parents and the pile of responsibilities waiting for him.
Teppei Arima is our protagonist, a young high school student leading a peaceful life. But after a tragic incident, he was adopted by Isshin Arima and his life takes a huge turn as he starts the luxurious life of a noble with tough responsibilities but he chooses to accept them because he is a man of strong willpower.
The anime shows his daily life as he saves different princesses from trouble and ends up getting loved by these princesses.

4. Devil May Cry
Devil May Cry is a very popular video game franchise. Many people know about it but they are unaware that it also has an animated series.
The anime was first released in the year 2007 and it was produced by Studio Madhouse. The anime revolves around a private devil hunter who takes jobs from different clients involving a devil and exterminates them.
Dante is the main protagonist of the anime who is a hybrid (half-human and half-demon) devil hunter. The anime revolves around the life of Dante as he takes on requests from different clients and exterminates devils using his powerful abilities. He has opened his private business with the name “Devil May Cry” which really sounds cool.
The anime honestly doesn’t have much to offer in comparison with the game which has a well-crafted storyline and sequels but it is still a good and entertaining adaptation.

3. Angels of Death
Angels of Death is an anime that was first released in the year 2018. The story revolves around a young girl who wishes to die and finds herself in a strange building full of twisted murders of mysteries.
Our protagonist is Isaac Foster AKA Zack who is a serial killer with a scythe living in the basement of the building. He is the first person who interacted with Rachel Gardner AKA Ray.
Zack was going to kill her but her boring lifeless expressions prevented him from doing so, thus he accompanies Rachel to get out of this building and kill her as she requested. The anime features the struggle of Zack and Rachel as they fight with the twisted bosses of each floor to escape from this strange building.

2. God Eater
God Eater is a Japanese anime based on an original video game of the same name. It is produced by studio Ufotable. Set in the year 2071, the story of this anime revolves around humanity fighting Aragami Monsters which are produced by Oracle cells and protecting the rest of humanity.
The story is set in a world where human experiments on oracle cells have produced fierce and devastating monsters called “Aragami”. Humanity's last resort is Fenrir where God Eaters (Humans with oracle cell abilities and weapons) live. The weapon wielded by these warriors is called the God Arc.
Lenka Utsugi, a young man, ends up in Fenrir to become a God Eater. His sole purpose in becoming God Eater is to destroy Aragami.
The whole anime has an interesting and mystery-oriented plot. It also has a beautiful art style and if you’re a fan of the original video game then this should be a must-watch. It consists of 1 season and 13 episodes in total.
1. Castlevania
It is impossible to discuss anime adaptations of video games without mentioning Castlevania.
Castlevania was released in 2017 and produced by Netflix.
When Count Dracula's wife is wrongly convicted of witchcraft and is burned at the stake, he proclaims that all the inhabitants of Wallachia will pay with their lives.
He unleashes a demon army that overruns the country, leaving the inhabitants terrified and distrustful. To counteract this, the exiled monster hunter Trevor Belmont, aided by the wizard Sypha Belnades and Dracula's dhampir son Alucard, takes up arms against Dracula's army.
The whole anime perfectly captures the feel of the long-running video game franchise. Do give it a watch you won't be disappointed.
