RAPPER MILLIONAHRE IS ON THE RISE

The Westleaf

What's up Leafers? Welcome to the latest edition of On the Rise where we interview upcoming hip hop talent. Today's guest is artist, Millionahre. Millionahre is an MC straight out of Brooklyn, New York. His style is raw and barsy similar to many of the New York greats. We can definitely see him performing on stages such as Rolling Loud or Coachella. The NY based MC has been on our radar for a while so we had to tap in with him! Check out the interview below. Westleaf Staff: What's up, Millionahre? Your sound is dope. When did you start making music? Millionahre: I started creating sonics, my term for music, in 2020.

Westleaf Staff: That's dope! What city do you represent? Milllionahre: I represent the 718 to the 518 Brooklyn to Albany NY, feel me?

Westleaf Staff: Shout out to NY. So how did you create your stage name? Millionahre: I’m about good health & taking care of the vehicle, being your body. So it started out as Millionahre with the H being health, like the health is wealth concept. Not just physical but mentally healthy, emotionally healthy all that. Deeper into learning myself & existence, I realized real wealth starts within, eternally you know? Being in a rich state of being spiritually, will materialize into you being rich physically. Not just pertaining to a debt note either.

Westleaf Staff: That's a dope name. Super creative! So how did your early life shape your interest in music? Millionahre: My pops had a music career before and after I was born so growing up and compartmentalizing the influences of the prominent male figure, it essentially sparked the love for music I have. Evolving into the idea and action of me creating my own music.

Westleaf Staff: Dope! That's an inspiring story. So who is your biggest Musical influence? Millionahre: The whole underground rap scene, really. I could name a whole bunch of artists that I listen to & respect but to sum it up underground rap.. those truly expressing who they are & where they come from, not the character rap.

Westleaf Staff: Dope choice! We love underground vibes! What's been the defining moment in your music career thus far? Milionahre: It’s early for real but I would say dropping my first project. The feeling I got from that was different!

Westleaf Staff: That's dope! Congrats on dropping your project. So what makes you a unique artist? Milllionahre: I’m not trying to portray a character & lead those who listen astray. You know how there’s self help books? I’m the sonic version of that except you can catch a vibe to it anywhere and any day. Able to put introspective messages into a trap beat or a deep house beat, whatever! I’m just being myself and having fun doing it with many different styles. This is my way of contributing to changing how entertainment/music is viewed and consumed.

Westleaf Staff: Dope! So what does art mean to you? Millionahre: Art to me means subconscious expression. Harnessing your ideas making them physical for you & others to experience outside of yourself.

Westleaf Staff: True! That's deep! Where do you see your music career going over the next few years? Millionahre: I see myself influencing minds on a larger scale through many avenues in the music business such as teaching the music business & creating/co-creating other brands you know?

Westleaf Staff: I wish you much success! Before we go, describe music in three words. Millionahre: Sonics, Expression, Trance.
