Westleaf Staff: What's up bro? Thanks for stopping by. Let's get right to it! Why did you choose the Title Thug Cry for the tape?
K LANE: I chose the title Thug cry because it represents the notion that even the toughest people have feelings. Losing a lot of loved ones close to me and other situations had me at a low point. This tape is just me really venting and expressing myself about a recent situation I been in or past situations.
Westleaf Staff: What inspired this Tape?
K LANE: Real life situations are what really inspired It, a lot of trials and tribulations that happened during the time that I was creating the album. I've been working on thug cry for the last 2 and a half years. Half of the songs were made in Japan and half were made in the US.
Westleaf Staff: What’s your favorite song on the Thug Cry and why?
KLANE: My favorite song on the Tape is “How I Feel”. That song is personal. I was going through a lot when I wrote that song and after I got done recording it, it just stuck wit me.
Westleaf Staff: How did you lock in the features on the project? The features with Stoney and Bravo happened while I was out in Japan , and Izzy and G1 sent they verses over.
Westleaf Staff: Dope. Will you be dropping anymore music this year?
K LANE: Yeah , I’m planning on dropping aN EP at the end of the year.
Westleaf Staff: How many Music Videos are you going to release for Thug Cry?
K LANE: My fans can expect at least 5.
Westlleaf Staff: What separate this tape from your other tapes?
KLANE: On This tape I chose to be more versatile wit songs like “ Thug Cry, Made Us, and Listen. Just to show my audience that my music isn’t all the same. The majority of my other tapes are straight rap.
