But let's get to the meat and potatoes here, we were fortunate enough to tap in with DYNDE for an interview to discuss their musical origins and gritty-melodic style. Check out the interview below.
Westleaf Staff: What's up XION? We love linking with groups. When did you all start making music?
DYNDE (Xion): I’m XION MCKNIGHT and I’m representing for my group which consists of two other artists whose names are SCOTT TAYLOR and BDE-JUAN and we go by the name of DYNDE.
We are a diverse group of artists who originate from Atlanta,Ga and we’ve been creating music and other forms of art related things all of our lives.
Westleaf Staff: Nice. Seems like art and music comes natural to you all. What city do you represent?
DYNDE (Xion): Atlanta.
Westleaf Staff: Dope! Shout out to the ATL! We're based here, too. So how did you create your stage name?
DYNDE (Xion): The word Zion means highest point. So for me, I want to reach the highest point in my life, career, and goals. As a human being I want to reach my highest self.
Westleaf Staff: Dope! Self actualization is something to strive for. You'll definitely make it there. How did your early life shape your interest in music?
DYNDE (Xion): I was born to do music, it’s my calling so no matter what I'm always going to be doing music. I was meant to do music.
Westleaf Staff: It's cool that you are committed to your purpose. I can see the drive and hunger. Salute! Who is your biggest Musical influence?
DYNDE (Xion): My Mother.
Westleaf Staff: That's the best influence to have! Respect. So what's been the defining moment in your music career thus far?
DYNDE (Xion): Being able to create when I want.
Westleaf Staff: Nice. I know that has to feel good! What makes you a unique artist?
DYNDE (Xion): Every human being is different from the next. So what makes me unique is that i’m myself 100 percent. What you see and hear is what you get.
Westleaf Staff: Fire. That's real AF! So what does art mean to you?
DYNDE (Xion): Life. Form of expression. Vulnerability. Honesty & Exposure.
Westleaf Staff: Facts! So where do you see your music career going over the next few years?
DYNDE (Xion): We see ourselves changing the world through sound and sound alone. Creating that positive frequency that opens up the gates in the spiritual realm to come down and bless us to be the human beings we were created to be.
Westleaf Staff: Amen. Speak that into existence. It's already done! Before you go, describe music in three words for us.
DYNDE (Xion): DYNASTY DON’T END.
